Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton has opened up about her failed marriage to Ordinary Boys singer Preston as she revealed they were still in touch. Mum-of-one Chantelle, who shares nine-year-old daughter Dolly with cage fighter ex Alex Reid, was on This Morning ahead of the new series of Big Brother starting on ITV this Sunday.

It will be the first time the show has aired for five years. The show originally aired on Channel 4 in 2000, presented by Davina McCall. Channel 5 took over the reality show from 2011 to 2018 before it was finally axed.

Chantelle, 40, won Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 despite being the only non-celeb in there. She had to trick the celebs into believing she was actually a member of girl band Kandy Floss.

Viewers watched as her and Ordinary Boys singer Preston fell in love on the show. They got married a few months after leaving the house, but were divorced 10 months later in November 2007.

Addressing the relationship on the ITV show, Chantelle said: “We’re still really good friends, we’re still in contact. I’ve recently moved house.

"I’ve still got my wedding dress! We do still keep in contact. I’ve still got so much love for him.”

She previously addressed the reason for their split. “We didn’t split up because of anything like that,” explained Chantelle. “We didn’t have anything to argue about. You know, he didn’t ever do anything to make me angry. It weren’t that.”

“It was just circumstances. All that had happened - obviously I’d been on Big Brother and then I didn’t even go back to my mum's, I moved to Brighton, my friends weren’t there, my family wasn’t there. I was in a strange place, Preston was away working and it was just that I felt so lonely.

“Preston didn’t wanna go out with his friends because he felt bad for leaving me at home, and I felt bad because he wasn’t going out with his friends and I felt like I was stopping him from going out. It was circumstances.”
