BJC and Saint Luke’s Officially Combine as BJC Health System

As chief marketing and communications officer for BJC Health System, Rebecca Sesler is responsible for corporate communications, brand management, digital marketing, internal communications, customer experience, and corporate sponsorships for the $10 billion health system comprised of 24 hospitals, hundreds of specialty practices and clinics, hospice and home health agencies, and life care communities.

In this role, Rebecca leads a team dedicated to the evolution and development of BJC Health System’s brand architecture across its Eastern Region—including St. Louis and southern Illinois--and its Western Region—serving Kansas City, northwest Missouri, and eastern Kansas—where it does business as BJC HealthCare and Saint Luke’s Health System respectively.

During her 12 years with Saint Luke’s, Rebecca engineered the development of an award-winning, full-service in-house agency that earned regional and national recognition, including Best in Show four of the past five years by the Kansas City Public Relations Society (PRSA), Best in Show at the 2022 Missouri Hospital Association Public Relations and Marketing Show-Me Excellence Awards, the 2021 PRSA Public Relations Team of the Year, and an Emmy and Telly award for broadcast excellence.

Prior to joining Saint Luke’s, Rebecca served ten years as Executive Vice President of a health care marketing and advertising firm, consulting with hospitals and health systems across the country. Rebecca earned a Bachelor’s of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
