Beautiful hiking trails on Dyrön

Hike on Stora Dyrön

Stora Dyrön is in the area around Tjörn. It is a nice island to visit and this island also has hiking trails. We went there with our own boat a couple of years ago to try out these hiking trails. But, there are great options to get to the island, Västtrafik runs regular tours.

Our tour started on the east side and we went counter-clockwise. It was a beautiful day and we got to experience a bit of everything.

Here we enter a passage where you have to climb a mighty staircase. It's always exciting what awaits on the other side.

As expected, once we got to the top, it then starts going downhill, with an amazing view. There you have Marstrand on the horizon to the south and the Pater Noster lighthouse to the west.

Part of the trail is directed towards Åstol, which is also a nice island to visit.
