Gelato Messina has teamed up with excellent Sydney pub The Old Fitzroy to create a decadent take-home dinner pack for two.

Each heat-and-eat pack includes a pork-pie tart with mustard, flaky roasted chicken and artichoke pie, beetroot with horseradish and hazelnuts, and an ooey-gooey Messina sticky-toffee pudding (with a crème-brûlée-custard centre). Plus, a 500-millilitre tub of ice-cream.

The menu was conceived by the Old Fitz’s head chef Nicholas Hill, a Sepia and Quay alumnus who serves up a British-influenced menu, with a nose-to-tail slant.

Hill singlehandedly reinvigorated Sydney’s love for hot-chip butties, much to the chagrin of some people. “Nick’s doing amazing food and specials that take him three days to prep, and now he’s going to be known as the fucking chip butty guy,” the pub’s co-owner James Wirth quipped.

Pre-order your pack online from July 10 for pick-up at select Messina stores between July 17 and 19.
