  1. ” … says Matt Geib, a PhD student in the BU College of Engineering’s materials science and engineering department.” Clearly, this article should have been proofread more carefully. BU’s College of Engineering has no such department; it is a Division. We have sliced and diced up the University to the point where people consistently confuse Colleges, Departments, Divisions and Centers. In terms of governance they should be very different entities, but they are confused all too often. On the other hand, in our obsession to develop “a brand”, control outside perceptions, and control information that gets reported to accrediting agencies and US News and World Report, the tools of obfuscation threaten to dominate considerations of governance.

  2. Thank you very much for the updated article; I’m sorry if the first sentence of my previous comment sounded critical of the effort BU makes to raise research awareness. While trying to fix a factual error, I was also hoping to start a wider conversation about how the University’s marketing, through its websites, may have lead BU Today into temptation or, how university raking has lead everyone into temptation.

  3. Hello I’m wondering if there is anymore rounds of clinical trials for this. I am unable to take hormonal birth controls due to a blood clotting disorder and i had the cooper iud, which I had to remove due to constant bleeding from it. Is there anyone you can put me in contact with to join a trial?
