I am originally from Chile, but graduate school brought me to the United States in 2015. Before academia, I worked as a public relations consultant for the Chilean government on nation branding initiatives. Because of my job, I got to travel to many different countries and meet people from diverse cultural backgrounds. That experience has fueled my teaching and research ever since.
