Moses Malone, former Washington Bullet, passes away at 60

Moses Malone, a three-time MVP and 12-time NBA All-Star, passed away in his sleep on Sunday morning.

Malone is best remembered for his time with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Houston Rockets, but Malone also spent two seasons with the Bullets. As a Bullet, he led the team to two playoff appearances and represented the team in the All-Star Game both seasons, averaging 22.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game and posting a 22.4 PER.

While Malone's time in Washington may not be the first thing people remember about Malone's career, he was a steady presence that helped make the Bullets a playoff contender in the midst of a long stretch of basketball where Washington struggled to find success. After Malone left, the Bullets only made the playoffs once over the next 16 seasons. He will be missed.
