Mandarin citrus juicer The citrus juicer was designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Italian producer Alessi. The special design shows that the designer is a master of the rhetorical use of metaphors. The humoristic and playful Chinese figure hides an extremely effective citrus juicer. It seems as if the Mandarin, a Chinese noble and official in ancient China, is wearing a kind of traditional straw hat. In reality, it is a cone-shaped citrus juicer when turned upside-down. The body of the figure is the beaker which collects the fruit juice. The Mandarin citrus juicer has a base of thermoplastic resin. The beaker is decorated with friendly eyes and a smiling mouth. The removable hat is turned upside-down and used as the presser. It is both a handy and stylish item for use in the kitchen as well as an eye-catching decorative statue. Measurements: Length 17 cm, width 12 cm Stefano Giovannoni and Harry Paul van Iersel. Allessi's tableware is quiet and mostly white. Designers Stefano Giovannoni and Harry Paul van Iersel have given this a colourful twist with their accessories. Giovannoni is an Italian designer and architect. In Milan, he continued his studies and met different designers with whom he started a collaboration.
