July 30, 2023 - Had two glasses at a WSA Mosel class. I think it may have been the Goldkapsel, if that is a different wine to this. My class tasting notes:
Beautiful golden colour. Smelled and tasted young, fresh and inviting - instructor said it might still taste young in 20 years.
Nose - petrol, mint, herb - sage?, pistachio?
Texture - olive oil
Palate - mint > lime mojito, lychee, honey, grilled banana
Not much experience with rating this kind of wine, but perhaps in the mid 90s with upside.
Managed to locate 2 bottles in country and bought at an incredibly reasonable price for a 30 yr old wine. Looking forward to them, maybe one in a few years, one in 10-15.
