  • Provenance is key - This bottle came from an English cellar that hasn’t been moved since release. Very good fill level. This bottle is as expected fully mature but tasted younger and much more vibrant than the 1962 Dom Perignon I had recently.

No effervescence left yet the nose is lively. Rich with sweet stone fruits and great energy. Ripe and pungent fruits, hazelnut, Savoury mineral on the palate. Great length and touch of sweetness from dosage. An incredible experience to taste old Champagnes that is still alive consider 1945 was one of the greatest vintage (from books I have read) and Churchill museum only has 1947 Pol Roger on display, ha!😆 (92/100)
