  • The wine is very expressive at nose, sweet fruit. On palate it's much drier than it smell. The wine is complex and with a clear finish and just adequate acidity. A very balanced wine

  • Intense, even massive nose of florals and exotic fruits. Rich, flowery and fruity palate, but I didn't find it too broad or plush which was my fear given the vintage. Very complex and multilayered, excellent.

  • Dorato intenso. Splendido al naso, con acacia e fiori bianchi, miele, note salmastre, arachidi, susina gialla. Fresco, composto, lungo, complesso ed elegante, chiude su note di bergamotto

  • The three bottles of this I have had were variable in quality, with this being fairly mediocre. The nose was a little stunted, with just a faint aroma of cut grass and cinnamon. The palate was a decent balance of classic Chablis saline notes and flavors of butter and oak, but with only modest concentration. The acid on this seems to be getting a bit flaccid. I doubt this will benefit from any continued cellaring. In total, this seemed like a somewhat pale imitation of Chablis. Easy enough to drink but well short of the best quality Grand Crus from this region.

  • Drank a bottle of this in a hurry the other night and was underwhelmed and disappointed. Lingered over this one for several hours, and it made all the difference. Light gold color. At first (at cellar temperature) this is very faint on both nose and palate. Allowed to warm up and aerate, the nose on this blooms with aromas of butter, lime, soap, mint, and flint. This same bouquet is reflected on the palate, which has a low wavelength acidic vibrance, indicating that this should maintin its current optimal drinking for perhaps three to five more years. If you're agnostic about decanting whites, this would be a good subject on which to experiment, as it transforms the wine completely. Lovely once it has a chance to expand. Drink away.

(Long-Depaquit Chablis La Moutonne) Medium-pale yellow. The nose has many plusses - lovely high tones and a tight, linear depth - they just seemed a little unconnected at the start; eventually widens, coming together more and much more forward. The palate is quite unformed yet intense, quite good acidity and certainly very long, though just tending to bitterness at the end. Quite impressive, and definitely not a 2003 for early drinking.
