The wine has developed nicely, balanced, good fruit and smooth tannins, ok bouquet, dark color, drank with seared tuna with couscous and veggies, a nice bargain, 14.0% abv, last bottle, hopefully they make another vintage, still intrigued by the blend which is primarily merlot.

I wish I had bought more. This wine was very good after an hour air, but I put a cork in it, after drinking 1/2 bottle, and then it sat for a few days under the sink. The way I usually treat an inexpensive wine. It was fabulous after all the aeration. Reidel Bordeaux/cab glass. Better than many known wineries in the area that I have spent much more money on over the years.

Coravined, tasted with 2018 pavilion leoville poyferre, 2 st Julian’s, this wine had nice bouquet, tannic and earthy but opened up nicely, good balance, predominately Merlot which is unusual for a st julien, the pavilion was grapey, I bought it at the winery, drank with loin lamb chops , spinach pie and eggplant, will drink again, Kirkland wins this taste off although the pavilion bottle might have been flawed.
Still quite tannic, young, ok fruit but a bit bitter, full bodied, drank with hamburgers and fries, ok value but a bit rustic, not my usual sipping Bordeaux, 2 more bottles so will drink again.

Good QPR. Dark ruby color, blackberries, some dark cherries at nose and palate, tannings present, some acidity, good balance.
