Tarmac the Derelict Gachie Road
Tarmac the Derelict Gachie Road
Why this petition matters
Gachie is home to approximately 30,000 residents with most owning businesses in the locale or being employed in the area and neighbouring towns.
The road between Nyari West all through Kihara to Limuru is derelict and filled with potholes causing a lag in business and opportunities not only for locals but would be investors.
This petition demands:
1. Kiambaa MP Hon John Njuguna Wanjiku lead efforts in Parliament through the Committee on Roads and Transport to provide oversight and budgetary allocation within the current financial year to ensure that the Gachie - Nyari West - Kihara road is tarmacked.
2. Provision of sidewalks, drainage and street lighting in line with the roads regulations in Kenya including installation of proper signage and zebra crossing including speed bumps and rumble strips where deemed necessary by Kenya National Highway Authority (KENHA) and Kenya Urban Rural Roads Authority (KURRA).
