6 Reasons to Love the Oregon Coast

Talk to almost anyone and they’ll tell you “they fell in love with the Oregon Coast” upon their first visit, and it’s easy to see why. With its naturally rugged coastline, abundant wildlife, coastal towns, and historic lighthouses, it’s no wonder why everyone loves Oregon’s coast. Wildlife

Whale watching

While whale watching can be done almost anywhere along the Oregon Coast, the best place is in Depoe Bay. Known as the whale watching capital of Oregon, Depoe Bay is the premier destination for seeing gray whales.

Coastal access

Part of what makes the coast so unique and one of our favorites reasons to love the Oregon Coast, is the 1967 Beach Bill. This notable piece of legislature declares the entire Oregon Coast should remain open to the public – free of charge.
