'The Bachelorette' star Rachel Recchia is an Ohio University grad. Here are facts to know.

As someone who loves reality television, I've never seen a single episode of "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette."

Sorry Bachelor Nation, I'm more of a "Love Island" person. But I may have to jump on the bandwagon since one of the season 19 "Bachelorette" leads has connections to Ohio.

Rachel Recchia, one of the women Clayton Echard dated on season 26 of "The Bachelor," has embarked on another quest to find love alongside co-bachelorette Gabby Windey. 

Recchia and Windey were two of the final three women left standing in season 26. However, (after a ton of drama) Echard chose another contestant, Susie Evans, in the end.

Now, Recchia and Windey are leading the show together, both looking for another chance at love.

So, with "The Bachelorette" taking social media by storm every Monday, here are five things you (or I) should know about Recchia. 

Rachel Recchia is a commercial pilot

Recchia is a flight instructor and commercial pilot. Her Instagram account is filled with pictures of her traveling all over the world. She also shares photos of herself in the cockpit. 

Rachel Recchia is originally from Chicago 

Recchia is originally from Chicago but moved to Florida as a teen. She currently resides in Clermont, Florida, just outside of Orlando. During her hometown date with Echard, Recchia took him kayaking through a swamp in a neighboring town called Apopka.

Rachel Recchia graduated from Ohio University and still visits the state

Recchia graduated from the Fritz J. and Delores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University in December 2021. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation.

The bachelorette was also a cheerleader during her time at Ohio University, and a slide in her "Ohio" Instagram highlight suggests she was a member of the sorority Chi Omega.

It appears Recchia still makes frequent trips to the Buckeye State. According to an Instagram post, a stylist in Columbus does her hair. In this post, she said, "i’ll never stop flying to ohio to get my hair done by u."

According to her bio on the ABC website, Recchia can't wait to read the "Harry Potter" books to her kids one day. She also said she could live off Flamin' Hot Cheetos. 

Rachel Recchia: Pisces who knows what she wants out of love 

Recchia is 26 years old and was born March 8, 1996, making her a Pisces. This zodiac sign is known for being intuitive and sensitive. They seek romantic love and need a soul mate whose passion, intensity and empathy match their own. 

This aligns with Recchia's bio, which says, "As a hopeless romantic, Rachel is looking for someone who is as playful, passionate and spontaneous as she is.
