The Tennessee Titans cut Chris Johnson two weeks ago, and to this point, there hadn't been much interest shown in him. That changed over the weekend, when the the New York Jets hosted CJ2K for a visit.
Johnson attended the Knicks-Nets game at Barclays Center on Tuesday night, and rumors floated about that a deal was on the verge of getting done.
ESPN' Adam Schefter now reports the deal is done and Johnson will join the Jets:

Johnson is still a productive back, but his contract led to his release by the Titans. He was due $8 million, and though the Titans tried to trade him, it was always likely he'd be released.
His effort and "love for the game" have been questioned ever since he signed a four-year, $53.5 million extension in 2011. IT will be interesting to see how much the Jets are paying him and how incentive-heavy his contract is.
Johnson, now 28, isn’t the same player who rushed for 2,006 yards in 2009, but he can still add a dimension that was missing from the Jets' anemic offense last year. He's rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of his six seasons, dwarfing the production of Bilal Powell, Mike Goodson and Chris Ivory.
