Clone of Leaf Collection

Leaf collection is conducted twice a year, in spring and fall.  The City’s garbage/recycler, Advanced Disposal Services is contracted to conduct the leaf collection. If you miss the pickup dates, you can bring your leaves and brush to the City garage. 

LEAVES WILL ONLY BE COLLECTED DURING YOUR LEAF COLLECTION DAY.

Please rake leaves onto the street, 12 inches away from the gutter no later than 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Do not place them in bags or boxes. Advanced Disposal will pick up the leaves from the gutter.

Seasonal Leaf Burning Information

Seasonal leaf burning is allowed between April 1 - May 31 and October 1 - November 30 each year without a permit. Requirements are as follows:

• Burning shall occur on the resident’s property at a minimum distance of 25 feet from any occupied dwelling.
• Do not burn on streets, sidewalks, terraces, or any other location within the public right-of-way.
• No burning when wind is in excess of 10 miles per hour.
• Burning permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• You should contact the Fire Department or City Hall prior to burning leaves for a copy of the regulations that affect burning of leaves and/or to obtain a permit.
