TravelCenters of America, a Westlake-based operator of truck stops and travel plazas, has struck a deal to buy 20 properties from its main landlord.The Plain Dealer

TravelCenters of American in Westlake, Ohio, is introducing its smaller TA Express travel center format to Baker, California, through a franchise agreement.

The Baker travel center, at exit 221 on Interstate 15, is expected to open later this year, the company said in a statement.

The operator and franchisor of TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express travel centers plans to open five more franchised TA Express sites in California this year in Bakersfield, Grenada, Newberry Springs, Olancha and Rosemond, according to the statement.
