Bio

I specialize in the instruction and professional practice of professional and technical writing--using language and design to bridge the gap between experts and non-experts. As a professional and technical writer, I provide writing and communication efforts for a diverse, global client base that spans bioinformatics, software programming, artificial intelligence manufacturing, packaging, transportation, food and drug safety, real estate development, fine dining, and many more. I am the VP of Creative at Nearby Creative, a software and creative services consulting firm based in Pittsburgh's North Side.

In more than a decade as an instructor at Carnegie Mellon University, I have taught hundreds of professional and technical writing to students from all majors and disciplines. My mission and challenge is to equip each of these students to be able to express their specialized knowledge to interested, invested parties of all levels of expertise.
