Cloris Leachman, an award-winning actress whose career spanned seven decades, has died at the age of 94.
Leachman was perhaps best known for her role as landlady Phyllis Lindstrom on the 1970s sitcom "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and its spinoff series "Phyllis." She won eight Primetime Emmys during her career, tying her with Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the most Primetime Emmys won by an actress.
In 1972, Leachman won an Academy Award for her role in "The Last Picture Show."
