Rosa rugosa 'Alba'
2-5 gallon pots ranging in price from $34.99 to $54.99. Alba plants are tall shrubs with arching stems and bluish-green leaves. Intensely fragrant, single, snow-white blooms all summer. Large red-orange hips follow flowers in late summer. Stems are covered with prickers. They are extremely cold hardy and disease resistant. Tolerates exposure to coastal salt spray or paving de-icing materials.

Prune the plant in the spring to encourage new growth. White Rugosa Rosa is a large plant, and you can let it do its thing with minimal pruning, only removing damaged or old growth or suckers. This shrub also responds well to more involved pruning to maintain a specific size.
