Fall Leaves and Tea Time On a Tray

Hello there friends, so glad to see you today, as a group of us are joining in for the fun hop series from Katherine of Katherine's Corner. Katherine is our hostess for our Fall Season edition of Fall "On a Tray". If your coming from visiting Katherine, I hope you're following the tour, so a big Autumn Welcome. Be sure and continue the tour by visiting Beverly at the Eclectic Red Barn.

We're here in the sunroom today, which is also known as the Garden Room in the sitting area. This spot is such a great spot for coffee or tea, which is cozy, comfy and full of seasonal color.

I love using trays for vignettes on coffee tables, benches, and any spot where I might have a smaller grouping that needs to be kept corralled. Here, I've set this tray with some vintage pieces for a quiet afternoon teatime. When the weather gets cooler in the late afternoon, out comes the cups and mugs for a hot steaming cup of tea. Even my hubby joins in!

I've collected a few of these colorful actual tea tins for years. This one is perfect for fall and October with it's bright orange Pekoe Tea packaging. A small plaid fabric pumpkin sits atop one of my small iron urns, that I love to use for tablescapes and small vignettes.

I have a mix and match collection of vintage brown transferware that I use during the fall and winter for décor and Thanksgiving. The cupcake pedestal that the teapot is perched on is Johnson Bros., and the leaf pattern creamer and sugar are from Crown Ducal, England. Love the leaves on this set. The sugar bowl is filled with some whimsical glitter acorns.

The heavy pottery teapot has no markings, but is probably USA Pottery, and the orange cups and saucers are Caliente Pottery. I use this vintage tray in the hearth room on the coffee table/ cobbler's bench which got a makeover years ago. It's a constant fixture to keep things corralled. You can read that post here... French Lessons.

Here's another vintage tray in the garden room alongside the tea tray...
It's a vintage fruit tray in fall colors. A metal lunch hamper, pumpkin, and 2 bottle brush trees in gold and orange.

Thanks for coming by and joining in for a relaxing fall tea time.

This vignette was put together in early October with my "early fall" quilt on the wicker settee. Now I've changed up for a darker, more "fallish" quilt and pillows. I'll be sharing that soon. Hope you'll come back by again. You can follow me on Instagram and Pinterest.

Thanks again to Katherine and we hope you'll continue the Tour by hopping on over to see Bev at Eclectic Red Barn.

Here's a look at last fall's, On a Tray Tour.

  17. Hi, thanks for sharing this with us! I really like your room in orange colors, it's all so atmospheric and cute! I love autumn for the opportunity to experience this atmosphere of rains, comfort and holidays together with my family. I really like your tray - it really reflects how you see autumn as a season and you in general. how long did it take you to make this tray, figure out what to put there? I am kinda stuggling with this because there are a lot of things i want to put to mine, but It is hard for me to decide.
