The sweat house is set into the side of a small, secluded leafy valley. Rectangular in plan, it is stone-built with a paved floor and lintelled roof. A small chimney hole allowed smoke to escape. The stone structure is covered with turf and looks externally like a grassy mound. The tradition was for people to use the sweat house in a group. It is difficult to date but an 18th-century date has been suggested. There is a small, cold, plunge pool nearby. Tirnony Dolmen is 1 mile south-east.
