San José, Costa Rica, November 28, 2022. The Inter-American Court of Human Rights (I/A Court H.R.) is pleased to announce the publication of Case Law Bulletin No. 40: Case Law on Paraguay, published within the context of the visit of the President of the Court, Judge Ricardo C. Pérez Manrique to Paraguay, on November 28 and 29, 2022. The Bulletin can be downloaded here.

This is the tenth Bulletin taking a systematic approach to the Inter-American Court’s Case Law regarding a State and was produced thanks to the collaboration between the Inter-American Court and the Human Rights Directorate of the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay. Its publication stands as testimony to the shared efforts and jurisprudential dialogue between the Inter-American Court and the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay for the protection and guarantee of human rights.

We hope that this Case Law Bulletin will serve to disseminate the Judgments of the Inter-American Court in Paraguay, among its authorities, judges, officers of prosecutors and public defenders, academia, civil society organizations, and other interested persons, in the decisions of the Court of San José in that country and throughout the region.

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights’ series of Case Law Bulletins aims to publicize the Court's principal case law on various issues of regional relevance and interest.
