Scott Michael Haffner, 53 of Amarillo, passed away on Monday August 14, 2023. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Thursday August 17, 2023 at Hillside Christian Church, West Campus in the Chapel, 6100 S Soncy Rd with Pastor Greg Corona officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Scott was born on December 09, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio to Mike Haffner and Mary Jo Haffner. He married Kris Hamilton on March 1, 2002 and they enjoyed 21 years of marriage. Scott served in the United States Navy, serving his country with honor. Scott took pride in his job at ABF and successfully had over 1.2 million safe driving miles. He enjoyed grilling, spending time outdoors and listening to music. Scott was devoted to Carson and Layton, and gave them a life full of amazing memories and his valuable time. They all enjoyed playing sports together, especially baseball; you could often find them watching an Ohio State football game. Scott loved to go camping and spend time in the mountains with his family. He was loved by many and will be missed.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Haffner and his father in law, Charles Glyn Hamilton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kris and his two sons, Carson and Layton of the home; his mother, Mary Jo Haffner and one sister, Beth Miller, both of Jackson, MI; his mother-in-law, Randie Hamilton of Amarillo; two brothers-in-law, Chad Hamilton and wife Autumn of Watauga and Cory Hamilton and wife Laura of Amarillo; six nieces and nephews, Nathan, Andrew, Caleb, Sammie, Charlie and Lynnlie.
