Earlier this month, Woodland native Jaxin Gallagher completed cadet training at the California Highway Patrol Academy and was formally sworn in.

According to a CHP press release, he is assigned to duty at the CHP’s Clear Lake Area office.

Officer Gallagher graduated from Woodland High School in 2020.  He also attended California State University, Monterey where he was a business major.  Before attending the CHP Academy, he was in procurement at Precision Flight Controls in Rancho Cordova.

At the CHP Academy, cadet training starts with nobility in policing, leadership, professionalism and ethics, and cultural diversity.
