Jamelia sizzled in a glamorous number as she strutted the red carpet for the Vogue x Self Portrait party in London on Thursday alongside her rarely seen daughter Téja Wallen.

The R&B singer, 42, looked nothing short than sensational as she slipped into a black fur trim mini dress for the bash at the Chiltern Firehouse.

The strapless garment boosted her toned curves and put on a very leggy display as she posed up a storm while striking a pose for the camera.

The Hollyoaks star kept it classy with a pair of conventional black strappy heels, giving a few extra inches to her frame.

The mini bags trend appeared to take over at the glitzy party, as Jamelia rocked a black leather squared mini bag.

Meanwhile supermodel Neelam Gill, who was also in attendance, followed the fashion craze and opted for a sparkling pink tiny bag - after house brands like Jacquemus and Diesel boomed with their glamorous micro designs.

Jamelia added a pair of double chunky gold earrings, leaving out any other sort of jewelleries - as it appears necklaces have not been stars' favourite accessory on the carpets lately.

The pop singer and actress slicked her hair back in a neat look with a long braid falling behind her back.

She opted for a subtle smokey eyes and pouted her lips with a gloss, boosting her beautiful features.

The former Loose Women panellist was in good company as Téja also made a fashion statement on the carpet.

Téja, 22, looked stunning in a bright green mini dress with shoulder pads, which featured sparkling silver embellishments.

The daughter of the Superstar singer - whom she shares with ex and former music manager Terry Wallen -  commanded attention in the colourful garment.

Téja gave herself some extra inches in a pair of glamorous sparkling silver strappy heels to tote her look.

She kept her raven locks in a high ponytail and accessorised with chunky silver earrings.

The pair appeared in great spirits as they had plenty to smile about while striking a few poses on the event's red carpet.

The singer-turned-actress welcomed her fourth daughter in October of last year, after undergoing a 'scary and incredibly traumatic' emergency caesarean section.

The RnB sensation has Teja and Tiani, 18, from previous relationships and True, five, with her husband, who she married in 2017 but has never revealed his identity.

After experiencing pregnancy in her teens, 20s, 30s and now 40s, she called having her four daughters 'the most incredible gift' that allowed her 'to learn at different stages of my life.'

Yet the birth was far from easy, as she told HELLO! magazine that she needed an emergency emergency Caesarean at 36 weeks after her waters had broken four weeks earlier.

She explained: 'It was so scary. I felt like I was in labour for a month, but the main objective was to keep the baby in for as long as possible. I just had to hold on.'

Although she assumed the procedure would be 'straightforward', she revealed: 'I found it incredibly traumatic. And then you're recovering from major surgery while looking after a newborn.'

She had her teenage daughter Tiani by her side, after the youngster tossed a coin with her big sister Teja to see who would accompany their mum at the birth.

Jamelia revealed that her husband stayed home looking after their youngest child, because 'as selfish as it might sound, I wanted to share this experience with my girls. Seeing someone give birth should be a good contraceptive as well.'

Earlier in March, Jamelia has spoken out about reprising her role of Sharon Bailey full-time on Hollyoaks, describing the character as 'feisty' and a 'firecracker'.

The actress and singer first appeared as Sharon, a paediatrician at the soap's Dee Valley University Hospital, in 2021.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she praised the cast and crew of the Channel 4 show for making her feel so welcome on her first proper day on set earlier that day, adding that her character Sharon is someone she would aspire to be like in real life.

Jamelia said: 'I'm here with the cast of Hollyoaks. I've just joined and today was my real first day.

'I've had a couple of scenes with a couple of established artists so for me to be a part of it and be here today with them is a bit weird and a bit surreal but I'm trying to own it.

'I actually had a cameo role back in October of 2021 and, a little known fact, I was actually on it back in 2000 playing myself when I was performing at the student union bar, but it was that experience in October 2021 that I just loved it so much.

'I got a bit brave and said, "Listen, if you want Dr Sharon to come back, I would love to," and I let them know and made it very, very clear that I just had the most amazing time.

'So when they offered me a contract in April, I just jumped at the chance. It's been everything I expected it to be. I'm just having the time of my life.'

She went on to praise the people that work on the serial, saying she'd been made to feel welcome by everyone including Richard Blackwood, who plays Felix Westwood, and Jennifer Metcalfe, who portrays Mercedes McQueen.

Jamelia said: 'Everyone is so friendly and so welcoming. From people like Richard and then you've got people like Jennifer, Alex Fletcher, Nikki Sanderson, they've all just been so lovely and so welcoming. I just feel like I've always been there.

'It's a true testament to them as people, and the cast and crew, the fact that they treat people like that just makes it an amazing environment to work in so I have no complaints and if you know me, you know I love a complaint!'

In August 2021, it was revealed Jamelia was joining 'Hollyoaks' in a guest role for a special episode featuring Richard and Kelle Bryan.

The episode played a pivotal part in Channel 4’s Black to Front Project, the ground-breaking diversity project culminating in a special day of content on September 10, 2021.

Across the day Channel 4 broadcast programming fronted by Black talent and featuring Black contributors to champion Black voices and stories, and the incredible Black talent that make, shape and star in British TV.

Jamelia went on to discuss the qualities of Sharon she admires, insisting she would look up to the medic if she met her in real life.

She said: 'My character, she's a bit feisty. I describe her as a bit of a firecracker, she doesn't suffer fools, she's very brave and she's the type of person that would inspire me in real life.

'She's a doctor and she's at the top of her game, apart from in her romantic life. Playing her is so fun!'

Jamelia made a name for herself as a singer, previously releasing three studio albums which each reached the Top 40 in the UK.

She has scored eight UK top-ten singles and has won four MOBO Awards, a Q Award and has received nine BRIT nominations.

On whether she'll return to the charts, Jamelia said: 'I would love to have the time to do new music.

'If I ever do, if I ever get 20 seconds in the next year or so then I will definitely take the opportunity because it's my first love.'
