The internet can be a cruel place. But last week, that negativity was no match for fans of chef and cookbook author Giada De Laurentiis. After posting photos of herself smiling big and enjoying several pasta dishes while vacationing in Abruzzo, Italy (jealous!), De Laurentiis was met with nasty comments like, "I had to count my teefs...apparently I'm missing .....1000" and "Dental exam?"

But the comments section of the post has since been flooded with kind, gracious comments from fans sticking up for her.

"Why do people feel the need to slander this woman? Amazing and talented chef who brings such relaxing and beautiful food to our lives. Let her be," one user wrote.

"The fairest of them all love you G," wrote another.

"I’m really appalled at some of the nasty and uncalled for comments I’m seeing here. Didn’t your mother ever teach you that if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything!!! Why on earth are you even following her posts if you feel that way?!" another person chimed in.

In addition to those who showed support for De Laurentiis, there was also a handful of people who were impressed by her ability to wear white and beige while indulging in pasta with red sauce. We have to admit that we're equally in awe of that feat.

"Wearing white eating sauce and pasta.. epp.. my luck my last bite would end up on my shirt," one person shared. Another user also offered their praise, writing "Daring mamasita! Eating red pasta with white on. You go girl."

We love the positivity!
