Extra Alienware cases

I was wanting a new computer case for my computer at home and was wondering if dell had any any extra Alienware desktop cases. I tried eBay but they want about $200 for any case with the name Alienware. I was looking for one closer to $50 and I like the Alienware cases so I was just wondering if any were available for purchase from dell themselves.

I have an Aurora R8 and also bought an Aurora R6 chassis from big auction site for case mod project. The Aurora R6 is mostly similar to the R8 with some differences.

The top bezel is different because the R8 has USB Type-C while R6 does not.

Left R8. Right R6.Left R8. Right R6.

The panels on the side are mechanically the same but the RGB daughterboards are not. For that reason, you cannot use an R8 motherboard and hope that the RGB can work with an R6 panel. If you want to do that, make sure you can find the R8 RGB daughterboard either from an existing machine or from online auction, and transplant that to the panel you want to use.

You said you like Alienware but have you looked into some of the issues that could kneecap you especially with newer Auroras?

The PC looks big but in reality, the inner chassis is really small as you can see in the above picture. Then, there is the coveted PSU swing arm:

Finally I decided to move to a bigger "home":

Apologies for spamming your thread but I think it's better you do a bit more research on the pros and cons of building your own Alienware. Many community members here are knowledgeable. Here are my favs:

I don't know if Dell would sell a case (I suspect not) but if they did it would be more than $50 and probably at least or more than what they sell for on e-bay.

Keep in mind Dell cases are custom and have proprietary cabling.  Only an exact model motherboard will work with out extensive modifications.

Maybe you can start with some details like which AW case you’re looking for and what specs is the system you want to place in There.

Yeah, thanks. I settled with the idea of just getting a cooler master Q300P. I couldn't find any decent priced alien-ware cases. and I'm not great with customizing cases or cutting so ill go with something I know will work. Although I was originally trying to find an area 51 case as I recall those being pretty universal in the parts they accepted.

I have to say: the Q300P does resemble the Aurora R5-R8 a lot! Area 51 is in a league of its own though. Whether it's universal or not, I'm not sure as it was outside my budget range when I decided to get back into desktops.

Yeah. I couldn't find one under $1000. Mostly because they all had computers still in them.
