The failed traffic signal in Dénia that has filled social networks with ridicule

It did not seem possible, but the ruling that became a meme on social networks has come true again, and this time in Dénia. some streets of Marines and Camino Gandia are being reconditioned with new asphalt and signage, something that the neighbors are very grateful for. Now, the rush can cause a job with, sure, good intentions to become a viral joke.

This week a user shared a photo on Facebook of a sign on the asphalt that could read "SOTP" instead of "STOP". Quickly the publication ran, generating both ridicule and criticism. Of course, many were skeptical when assuming if it was true that this error was in the streets of Dénia, considering that it could be just one of many memes that become hoaxes.

But, as this newspaper has been able to verify, yes, it is real. At the end of Mar Azov street, at the intersection with Assagador del Palmar, you can find this sign on the asphalt. It is true that it is not the most important STOP (or «SOTP») in the municipality, since it is a road with little traffic, but these days it has become, of course, the most famous.
