KOMET USA Cosmetic Bur Kit: A Step by Step Case Study of Four Anterior Veneers

KOMET USA Cosmetic Bur Kit: A Step by Step Case Study of Four Anterior Veneers

Dr. Sam Simos uses the instruments in Komet’s Diamond Composite Polisher Kit to create polished esthetic bis-acryl provisionals.

Laser gum contouring of the anterior four teeth was accomplished using a diode laser (Figure 2).

Bulk reduction of the restorations was accomplished using the T5856.314.025 bur (KOMET USA) (Figure 3) and T5856.314.018 bur (Figure 4) (KOMET USA), leaving a smooth, clean preparation.

Beveling and final shaping of margins accomplished effortlessly using 8850.314.012 bur (Figure 5) (KOMET USA). Lingual reduction was accomplished using 2379.314.023 bur (KOMET USA).

Because the preparations were smooth and clean because of using the KOMET burs, a straightforward impression was taken (Figure 6).

A Sil-Tech (Ivoclar Vivadent) temporary matrix filled with bis-acryl temporary material and set into place for 2 minutes (Figure 7).

Once removed, the temporary was initially contoured with a 8850.314.012 bur (KOMET USA) (Figure 8) and a H135.314.014 bur (KOMET USA) (Figure 9).

Lingual contour of temporaries using a H379Q.314.023 bur (KOMET USA) (Figure 10).

KOMET USA's Diamond Composite Polisher Kit (4527) (Figure 11) was used in succession to polish temporaries.

Final temporaries were evaluated immediately after polish (Figure 12).

Final restorations were evaluated on the model (Figure 13).

The patient was thrilled with the dramatic change from before (Figure 14) to after (Figure 15).

Because there are many advanced porcelains, techniques and technologies such as CAD/CAM, Zirconia and pressed ceramic, laboratories are demanding more from preparations to produce high-quality cosmetic restorations both patients and dentists desire.

KOMET USA's Cosmetic Prep/Seat Kit (FOL617) (Figure 16) organizes the leading burs dentists need to prepare, temporize and seat all aesthetic cases.  The kit reduces set-up time and chair time when. bulk reducing, finishing margins, contouring temporaries or polishing final restorations.
