Origin: Mexico (Puebla, Oaxaca)

Growth Habits: Tree-like cactus, up to 21 feet tall (7 m), yellowish-green stems 3 inches in diameter (7 cm); 7-9 ribs, areoles almost confluent in young stems, 0.8 in. apart (2 cm) in older stems; no central spine; 5 radials (3-6), up to 0.6 in. long (1.5 cm)

Blooming Habits:
Reddish white slightly scented flowers, opening in the morning, in the spring. The red fruits are up to 2 inches in diameter (5 cm). They are covered with short bristles.
