EastEnders star Scott Maslen has opened up about being away from Albert Square during lockdown.
The Jack Branning actor and the rest of the BBC One soap's cast have been at home since the Beeb shut down production on EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty, Doctors, Pobol y Cwm, and River City on March 18 over COVID-19 safety fears.
Maslen appeared via video from his house on The One Show on Wednesday (May 13), where he admitted that he's definitely missing his co-stars during this isolation period.
"The routine [I'm missing], really," he said. "I'm so used to the grind. It ain't a grind. It's a great place to work. I miss all my friends."

While Maslen still isn't quite sure when EastEnders will begin filming again, he has been encouraged by government guidance this week that television production can resume with social distancing guidelines in effect.
"Something came out yesterday or today, advising that we can go back," the actor noted on The One Show. "I should imagine [we'll] be on that frontline of the first ones to go back, so I'm waiting to hear, really."
Earlier this month, an EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy that "no dates have been set for filming to resume", as the BBC continued to follow "the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England".
