Running off a 1200mAH battery, the device also comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera and support for Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi (b/g/n), and AGPS.

ZTE has announced the phone for launch in Spain, Colombia and Venezuela later this year, with plans for a release in the UK and US markets yet to be confirmed.

Mozilla recently revealed plans to take Firefox OS global, with operators including O2 owner Telefónica pledging their support to the up-and-coming operating system.

ZTE has designs to bring Firefox OS devices to Europe, but it is unclear whether the ZTE Open will make it to the territory.
