Tracy Dean Reed, 63, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home. Making his debut into this world on February 6, 1960 in Merced, CA, Tracy was the second child and first son born to Arlyce and Roger Reed of Barling. After growing up in Colorado, the family moved to Arkansas in 1977. He graduated from Clarksville High School and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. After graduation, Tracy served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. From there he completed a 20-year career traveling the world in the Merchant Marines as a member of the Seafarers International Union. After retiring from the Merchant Marines, Tracy settled into a new life of being a rancher. In addition to raising crops and cattle, he was an all-around handyman. From excavator to mechanic, you name it and Tracy tackled it with success! Most recently he was remodeling his dream home with the love of his life, his fiancé, Meagan Gramlich of Van Buren.
