Bicolor Blennies (Ecsenius bicolor) have a striking pattern with its dual-tone coloring, that has a brown/purple front half of the body and a bright yellow-orange tail half. Its body is slender and almost eel-like, and one long dorsal fin, blunt head, bulbous eyes, and has two antennae protruding from between the eyes.
While normally peaceful tank members, the Bicolor Blenny can be semi-aggressive with similar-looking species, smaller gobies and dartfish.
Generally found amid crevices and rocks on the bottom of its environment, the Bicolor Blenny needs a tank of at least 30 gallons with scattered rocks for perching and hiding.
They can also be beneficial tank members by helping dispose of algal growths and other natural vegetation found around the tank as they are voracious herbivores.
