Marshmallow root is a perennial plant that prefers full sun, to part shade. It prefers rich moist soil, although I’ve noticed it’s drought tolerant, and even does well in clay soils. Marshmallow has velvety soft edible leaves, their roots are also edible and medicinal. Marshmallows beautiful flowers are white, sometimes lavender colored, and attract hummingbirds and many other pollinators. Easy to grow, beautiful plant that can grow to around 7’ tall.
Hardy to zone 3.
