Planned order - can't go to main table

Hi,

I generate a planned order, and it should contain a sub production order as well. So I went to inquiry → Explosion. I can see another BOM item “I-99-F” on the overview tab. However, I can see the reference on this is “Planned Production Orders - LO00092”, but when I go to main table, there is no such LO00092 planned order at all? And also what does the “Dynamic” stands for (after the I-99-F).

Thanks,

The sub-BOM is a phantom and therefore the pegged order level is not a “real” order, you cannot convert it. It is a place holder to show the component requirements driven by the test finished production order. You can tell it is a phantom by the word (dynamic) after the planned production order line.

Thanks AdamRoue,

But I check the Item “I-99-F”, it is not a phantom BOM. Do I miss something?

Slight difference it is a sub-production that is only created at the time the original planned order is converted and has its status updated from estimated - the concept is the same, it is a system generated order, it is not a planned order you can firm, the higher level is firmed and on update this order is created.

Thanks AdamRoue.

But if I firm the planned order for I-23-F, AX not only create the produciton order for I-23-F, but also for I-99-F as well at the same time?

I am a bit confused now. Why AX does not generate a planned order for I-99-F? Is it because of the BOM line type = production?

Thanks,

You have created a referenced link by the BOM type, the type of link that is not planned by the user, it is system planned. When you are firming it is setting the status to scheduled so automatically plans the related production as per your setup. Basically the system automates this creation, so you cannot alter the planned nature of it, so you cannot play around with the planned nature of the order.
