Bowling lanes

The Way Safford purchased the Safford Bowl in January. The church is in the process of restoring the facility, which includes 16 regulation lanes.

A local church is working to bring bowling back to Graham County.

The Way Safford closed escrow on the Safford Bowl on Jan. 4. The bowling alley, located at 410 E. Fourth St., had fallen into disrepair over the years before it finally ceased operations last fall and was placed on the market.

Plans for the bowling alley include reopening the restaurant and installing an arcade.

The bowling alley has 12 functional lanes at this point, and once it is reopened, it will be available for family and adult bowling leagues.
