Harum Scarum
It would be easy to say "Elvis! 'Nuf said," but that may not be sufficient for all ebayers. Harum Scarum is one of my favorite Elvis movies, more so because of the music than for the storyline, but that's just me. I recall first seeing "Harum Scarum" while in high school (obviously not a first-run showing), so I've long enjoyed it but rarely saw it. So when it became available at a good price, I couldn't resist adding it to my movie library. "Harum Scarum" is no "From Here to Eternity" or "Gone with the Wind," but, then again, it wasn't supposed to be. It is what it is -- an escapism movie and, above all, an Elvis movie. Elvis, King of Pops, had such a soft, charming, light and flexible character. This kind of unreal playground for all age is safe. It is like we're all invited to his perpetual kiddy Disneyland. A basic fun movie which costs nothing. World's audiences are not particularly after any difficult story, big vehicle crushes nor high-cost CGs. They would just see the charming smile and hear light songs in some fun plot. Elvis impersonators who can sing his songs very well may not be as good as this at acting.Elvis, King of Pops, had such a soft, charming, light and flexible character. This is not one of Elvis' best , but it is funny , and i enjoy watching old movies from when i was a kid.
