Maintenance kit does what it is supposed to do.
The maintenance kit consists of replacement parts for the printer that are needed as the printer usage reaches a certain level. It did the job and the printer works well now. I had not reached the replacement limit yet, but the fuser had developed "pimples" on its roller that were causing indentations in the paper. Replacing the fuser, which is part of the kit, solved the problem.
