Item does not work. Item received was not the same item as shown in the picture. Item had no markings of the model number and did not come with any documentation to prove that it is the correct part. Cable ports are a completely different size than the actual DEI 548T which this is supposed to replace. Reached out to seller to resolve and they were very rude towards me and claimed that the item “may not be same as shown in picture”. Would not recommend this seller.

    Alpine Type X-W12D4 car subwoofer

    Good price on ebay. Powerful sub with clean, clear, and deep bass. Pretty tight even in a ported enclosure. Excels in a ported enclosure vs a sealed one. Offers a great combo of output and sound quality. Alpine Type R probably has more punch, but isn't near as accurate as the Type X. I have two of these Type X's in a large dual aeroported Concepts Enclosure sold on Ebay and powered by a Rockford Fosgate R2-1200x1 amplifier. Extremely impressed by the sheer output and low bass reach in this enclosure, with very little cone movement! I highly recommend this subwoofer. A+

    Best Subwoofer

    Bought this Alpine x-w12d4 to replace my old DS18 exl sub that blew and this sub is by far the cleanest sounding and hits every note with more accuracy, only con I can think of is that I might need a new box to get the full experience of this sub on the lower frequencies, overall worth the price compared to other competitors.

    Awesome clean sound

    I wish I had 3 of these. This sounds so good when paired with the X-A90M Alpine amp. I also have 2 R series that sound good but not as good as this.

    Unbelievable sql

    I ran a JL 12w7 for close To 10 years before it finally went. So I tried something new. This sub is honestly just as good In output AND sound quality. May even hit a tad deeper. The JL and now this alpine X are in ported boxes built exactly to the manufacture instructions
