It's great for my little home office. Im sure it would do well in a higher use climate. But the colors are great. My only issue would be HP using chips to reject after market toner. Theirs is $100+++ for color and now come to find you can't buy knock offs either?(for about 1/3 the price)

Getting the scanner to work is a chore! HP no longer supports this machine. I had to hunt for the solution to the scanner problem. Boy, the solution is so fastidious! Works with a PC, but not a Mac, as of yet; The Mac .... Print quality is great, but a bit slow. Print, Scan, and fax quality are very good! Easy to install the toner cartridges, and they are of average price. Low power consumption in the idle mode. Control panel is great: I like switches and buttons over a touch screen. "Print color" " Print B/W" switches are great. The main power switch is in an OKAY location: easy to reach. The software selection options on the PC for this printer are numerous! Fax is easy and reliable. When the machine goes through a cycle, after sitting for a while, it makes the sound of a 1960's air compressor: Very noisy. This machine is well built, I expect it to work for me for years to come. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this printer a 6.5.Read full review

What a fantastic home All in One Color Laser Printer! We paid under $150 and we picked it up, as it was local. The price can't be beat for our home based small business needs. Printing quality both B&W & Color is excellent. Speed for the B&W is great! Speed for the Color is slow, however for us it's fine. I have tried printing on fabric, heavy card-stock, vellum, my handmade paper, photo paper, even some lightweight vinyl and ALL printed out with excellent results. It came with no instruction manual etc. which was not a problem, as everything for this printer is available on the HP website. The scanner and fax speed is fast and the quality is great. If you need an inexpensive All in One Color Laser Printer for crafting, home business or personal use, I highly recommend this HP model. If your needs are for speed, then this may not be the one for you.Read full review
I bought this unit on a recommendation of a printer dealer. We do graphics and labels. we needed a good laser and scanner unit all-in-one. Although it is used, it has provided me with excellent copies and prints. I admit is somewhat slow, but I look for quality rather than speed. While the unit lacks what the newer models offer, I am totally satisfied with the HP CM1312nfi. I would not hesitated to suggest this unit to anyone. Thanks e-bay!!!
Very simple and easy to set up. Follow the directions and you'll be printing in about half an hour. Compatible with Windows 7 which is why I got this machine. The scanning function is VERY versatile and gives many different formats to save your scans to. It's a touch slow to warm up, but for the quality and price it's worth a small wait. The only thing I'm not happy about is not having a dedicated envelope feed. You have to take the paper out of the tray to do envelopes. Only down side I can think of.
