President Daniel Noboa was part of the Flowers and Fruits parade in Ambato
Finally, the Flower and Fruit Festival parade was held in Ambato. This time, the date was modified due to concerns arising from the internal armed conflict since the celebration usually coincides with the Carnival festivities.
After the declaration of the state of emergency and the acts of violence carried out by organized crime groups, the planned agenda was rescheduled in Ambato. Thus, since last February 9, the programs for these festivities began.
The parade, one of the last events, took place without any incident, as reported by Ecu 911 Ambato. That entity shared images of the route that was taken in this edition. Around 2:00 p.m., the same entity reported the end of the parade on Francisco Flor Street.
The attendance was massive. The images showed the number of people who lined the streets to be part of the program.
The President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa, also traveled to the capital of Tungurahua. He was received by the citizens and watched the parade from one of the stands arranged for the authorities. There he was with the mayor of Ambato, Diana Caiza and the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Diana Atamaint.
As part of the meeting, Caiza handed the baton of command to the President. This as a symbolic act, he said, for “his work, commitment and responsibility to the Ecuadorian people.”
