Known collectively with Setauket as The Setaukets, East Setauket is a historic area on the craggy coastline of Suffolk County’s North Shore. Real estate here is marked by a wide mix of housing styles, from historic homes, which are mostly in the north, to newer ranches and Colonials. Amenities in the hamlet include St. George’s Golf and Country Club, a private club established in 1917. The Three Village Historical Society, housed in an old home in East Setauket, offers walking, bike, and kayak tours of Culper spy ring sites that figured prominently in the American Revolution. The Setaukets are mostly residential, but the bustling waterfront downtown of Port Jefferson is right next door.
