This braille brooch was born from an encounter on Instagram with Chloé, visually impaired since 2017 and creator of poetic cards in braille.

The brass plate is first cut according to the size of the text, and then hammered for a vintage effect... then the text is stamped point by point and letter by letter using steel punches. The letters (about 3mm high) are blackened with a special ink so that the text stands out.

Voici les dimensions de mon écriture "standart", celle proposée dans ma boutique :
Format corps de lettre: entre 1 cm et 1,5 cm de haut environ.
Hauteur totale avec jambages haut et bas : 8 cm environ.
Diamètre du fil : 1,3mm
La lecture dans ce format se fait très bien sur un mur.
Pour d'autres formats, il faut me poser la question. (onglet personnalisation)
Par contre, la longueur d'une phrase est difficile à définir à l'avance !
Je ne peux pas non plus déformer ma police d'écriture pour coller à une hauteur et longueur imposée dans laquelle vous voudriez l'enfermer...

Pas d'entretien particulier !
Le fil de métal utilisé pour mes écritures est du fil de fer brut (plus noble et plus rigide que le fil d'alu laqué souvent utilisé ailleurs), sa couleur pourra varier (noir/gris foncé/brun) en fonction des arrivages, du fournisseur, et aussi en fonction du degré d'hygrométrie de la pièce dans laquelle vous allez placer votre décoration.
Vous pouvez installer votre phrase à l'extérieur, elle prendra simplement à la longue une couleur rouille du plus bel effet. Pour éviter cela, il faudra passer un vernis anti-rouille.

Fixation : Se fixe au mur avec des petits clous discrets que l’on peut trouver en magasin de bricolage, ou avec du masking-tape si la phrase n’est pas trop longue et si le mur est lisse.
