Aerogramme templates -- Print your own 1959 Australian Aerogramme postal stationary reproductions! Just print, trim, fold, glue, stamp and send! Repeat as many times as you'd like!
Aerograms (or Aérogrammes) are single sheet of paper that folds into its own envelope. With this particular format, there's space for
1.5pages of letter writing. When you're done writing, you just fold the page in half and then in half again, leaving the iconic blue and red arrowed border on the front/back and hiding your letter on the inside.
This is a replica of the iconic standard Australian Aerogramme, first issued April 8, 1959 and available continuously for almost two decades! A full history of this particular aerogram: https://web.archive.org/web/20160306220459/http://www.aerogramme.com/exhibits/ausofcl/overview.html
These digital files are designed as turnkey printable postal stationary -- convenient self-printing and write letters by hand at home. I've gone to great lengths to make them accessible and extensible for user editing. They are all high quality vector files, not just a crappy scan of the originals. Since these are fully editable you can easily remove text you don't want (e.g. the fold instructions), pre-populate your own return address or your own complete inside layout. I carefully crafted these files from scratch to replicate the positioning, fonts and colors faithfully filling a complete sheet of regular A4 paper (just like the originals). I then created two additional layouts US Letter (8.5" x 11") and US Legal (8.5" x 14") to ensure easily accessible for all users world wide. The US Legal version results in a slightly larger, if less historically accurate, letter writing canvas.
Included are nine digital files. Three paper sizes: A4, US Letter and US Legal, each in three application formats: Adobe Acrobat PDF (.pdf), Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and Inkskape SVG (.svg) The Adobe Illustrator files include named layers and object groups for everything (see screenshot) so you can easily hide parts, change margins, etc. The arrows alone took multiple hours to get sized & spaced so that the corners mimic the original.
This is a digital download, not a physical Aerogramme.
Note, you need an adhesive to seal the Aerogramme. Something like a glue stick or Staples Roll-On Permanent Glue-Tape.
