Also called the Pygmy Beaked Whale, this creature is the smallest Mesoplodon yet discovered, with an adult male measuring just over twelve feet. It seems to range from Baja south to the Peruvian coast. It was not officially named until 1991. Virtually nothing is known about the habits of this elusive animal.
Feel free to study mine in detail! He is carved from rescued hardwood, stained, painted, and protected by acrylic spray. He measures about 9-3/4" long and 6-1/2" high by 3-1/4" at the pectorals. Mounted to an oak base, he is dated and initialed by myself.
