Separatist Movement (Second Edition)

Separatist movements play a fundamental role in modern politics as groups based on ethnic and cultural justifications fight for their right for determination and sovereignty. In our rigid international sphere, minority groups have limited scope for recognition but this map shows if these lofty ambitions were achieved. The poster illustrates movements in popular culture, for example, Catalonia and Scotland to ones deep in the extremities like Zale'n-gam and Batwaland. In this one of a kind map, it allows you to discover new and diverse movements from across the globe.

Each map is designed by me after hundreds of hours of research and design while consulting people who live in the region for advice and clarification.
