Zambrotta: "no Milan move"

The former Juve full back had said that he was happy at Barcelona and had no plans to leave but that if he did Milan would be his ideal destination.

This was turned into speculation that he would join the Rossoneri in the summer - something the World Cup winner flatly denies:

"I never said that I wanted to leave Barcelona in order to play for Milan," Zambrotta insisted. "I only answered a question, saying that I always liked Milan, which is true. Saying that I will join them is science fiction."

"I am not moving until the end of my current deal," he continued. "I want to win all that I can here and I will not leave - especially not after only one season."

The player almost moved to Milan in the summer but opted against it as their Serie A status was not assured following the fall-out of the match fixing scandal.
